Mary Arlene Green, 72, of Kennett Square, departed this life on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Burlington, N.J.
Born Jan. 6, 1938, in Spotsylvania County, Va., she was the daughter of the late James Desper and the late Lula Winn Desper.
She was a 1956 graduate of Kennett Square High School.
She was employed as a custodian with the Avon Grove School District.
Mary A. Green was affectionately known as "Arlene."
She spent most of her adult life in Chester County. Her last five years were in Willingboro, N.J., with her goddaughter, Contessa Robinson, and her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at W. R. Woody Funeral Home Inc., 465 High St., Burlington, N.J., 609-386-1834.
Burial will be private.
